Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller welcomed twins Max and Bob on 14 March 2009. The boys were born 6 weeks premature and Max remained in the hospital for several weeks due to birth-related weight issues - not because of a heart condition, as some sites reported. "The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term," Sheen released in a statement. "I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food, I just didn't realise they that started so young." Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield said: "It's frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you. This is the last week of Two and a Half Men [which is going on summer hiatus], so Charlie and Brooke will be able to spend some quality time with their kids." Max and Bob are the first children for the couple. Sheen has three daughters from previous relationships: Cassandra, 24, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profit, and Sam, 5, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denise Richards. Since the twins were born, Charlie Sheen has separated from Brooke Mueller and their problems have been widely publicised. The twins were removed from his care during a very public custody battle in March 2011, and we hope in the long run that the couple can work on providing a good childhood for Max and Bob.
